eMAG Hungary has been fined again, totaling 1.96 million euros, due to repeated violations and deceptive practices. The Hungarian Competition Authority found that eMAG failed to fully implement commitments made after a 2021 investigation. This marks the second fine this year, following a previous penalty of 235 million forints. The company acknowledged its shortcomings and did not appeal the decision. eMAG has faced cumulative fines of 710 million forints in recent years, leading to operational restructuring in Hungary, including the closure of its courier subsidiary, Sameday Hungary. Despite these challenges, eMAG reported revenues of 11.1 billion lei for the fiscal year 2025.
