The Romanian duo Elizabeta Samara and Bernadette Szocs advanced to the quarter-finals of the Europe Smash 2026 tournament in Sweden after defeating a higher-ranked pair. In men's doubles, Darius Movileanu and Eduard Ionescu faced a strong South Korean team but lost. Eduard Ionescu also competed in men's singles against a top French player, managing to win one set before ultimately losing the match.
