Romanian students excelled at the International Chemistry Olympiad in Uzbekistan, winning one gold, two silver, and one bronze medal. The event took place from July 10 to 19, 2026, in Tashkent. The gold medal was awarded to Matei Gabriel Ursachescu, while silver medals went to Mihnea Gabriel Alexe and Mihai Stanciu. Tudor Ștefan Anghel secured a bronze medal. The students received extensive theoretical and practical training from faculty members at the University of Bucharest. The Ministry of Education supported the team's participation by covering various costs associated with the competition.
