Students in Romania are increasingly using AI for various educational purposes, while teachers adapt their methods amidst a lack of governmental guidance. The World Bank report highlights significant challenges, including disparities in access to technology, insufficient national frameworks for AI in education, and inadequate digital literacy among both students and teachers. Despite substantial investments, many schools, especially in rural areas, still lack essential resources. The report calls for a national strategy for ethical AI use in education, improved teacher training, and sustainable infrastructure to bridge the digital divide and enhance educational equity.
