Electrica va dezvolta la Craiova o centrală de cogenerare de înaltă eficienţă

Electrica has signed a contract to develop a high-efficiency cogeneration plant in Craiova, which will provide thermal energy and electricity. The plant is designed to be hydrogen-ready and will replace coal-based energy sources, significantly reducing local emissions. It will have an installed electric power of about 82 MW and thermal capacity of approximately 179 Gcal/h. The project aims to enhance energy efficiency and support the integration of renewable sources. It will be implemented in two phases, with the first focusing on hot water boilers and the second on cogeneration engines.
