Electrica is launching the 'Ținem România Aprinsă' program in August, offering free energy to companies that shift their consumption to midday. This initiative targets large industrial consumers to alleviate pressure on the national energy system during a challenging period marked by drought and reduced energy production. Companies can benefit by adjusting their operations to utilize solar energy when it is most abundant, with consumption monitored through smart meters. The program aims to balance energy supply and demand, especially during peak evening hours when demand is high. A list of participating companies will be published in September.
