Electrica a semnat contractul de 235 mil. euro la Craiova

Craiova and Electrica have signed a contract for a high-efficiency cogeneration plant, costing up to 235 million euros. This project aims to replace coal-based energy sources and address local heating issues. The new facility will serve over 53,000 households and public institutions, utilizing natural gas and designed for a green transition. It will enhance energy efficiency and reduce emissions significantly. The project will be implemented in two phases, with the first phase starting next year, focusing on thermal energy production, followed by the cogeneration engines in two years.
