Mexican influencer César Gastelum was shot dead while live streaming on TikTok outside a restaurant in Sinaloa. The incident occurred when two men on a motorcycle approached and shot him in the head. Gastelum, 25, had around 500,000 followers and was known for his lifestyle content. The live broadcast was abruptly cut off, but parts of the footage have been circulated by various news outlets. Local police initially reported the death of a delivery person, but later identified Gastelum as the victim. This area has seen violence linked to local drug cartels, with several influencers reportedly murdered in recent years.
