Egiptul arestează întreaga redacție a unei publicații independente. Care este motivul oficial

Egyptian authorities have detained the entire editorial team of the independent publication Matsadaash, accusing them of ties to the banned Muslim Brotherhood. This has sparked international condemnation regarding press freedom. The co-founder, Abdelrahman Mansour, denied the allegations and expressed concern for the missing journalists. Matsadaash, founded eight years ago, has transitioned from fact-checking to investigative journalism. The Egyptian Interior Ministry labeled the publication as unlicensed and linked it to a fugitive member of the Brotherhood. Currently, Egypt is among the countries with the highest number of imprisoned journalists.
