The U.S. Air Force has received its first two unmanned combat aircraft, YFQ-44A Fury and YFQ-42A Vengeance, designed to operate alongside manned jets like the F-35. Developed by Anduril and General Atomics, these semi-autonomous drones will be tested at Creech Air Force Base in Nevada. The program aims to create combat drones capable of carrying weapons and sensors, with plans to acquire over 150 units by the end of the decade. Initial tests have already demonstrated the drones' capabilities, including launching missiles. The U.S. has allocated significant funding for their development and procurement.
