EdF, colosul nuclear el Europei, va accelera planul de adaptare la schimbările climatice, după opririle reactoarelor din acest an cauzate de temperaturile foarte mari. 15 TWh de energie electrică nu au fost produși - Economica.net

French energy company EdF plans to accelerate its climate adaptation strategy for nuclear reactors due to extreme summer temperatures causing record disruptions. Over half of France's electricity comes from nuclear plants, which rely on river water for cooling. This year, EdF faced environmental restrictions leading to significant energy losses. The adaptation program includes installing cooling towers and other measures to mitigate temperature impacts on river water. The estimated cost for new cooling towers is substantial, part of an overall €8.7 billion adaptation budget. Meanwhile, Romania's nuclear plants are offline due to low river water levels, affecting energy supply.
