A recent survey by tbi bank reveals that nearly 10% of Romanians are unable to save money, with 48% managing to save regularly. Many face financial pressure due to rising living costs, limiting their ability to save. Approximately 42% report saving less than last year, and over 9% have stopped saving altogether. The majority save primarily for emergencies, while a significant portion keeps their savings in easily accessible forms. Financial fears, particularly regarding health and job security, dominate their concerns for 2026.
