Economia zonei euro, revizuită în scădere în T1. Contracție neașteptată pe fondul distorsiunilor din Irlanda
The eurozone unexpectedly contracted by 0.2% in the first quarter, primarily due to significant statistical distortions from Ireland's economy. Ireland's GDP was sharply revised to -12.1%, influenced by multinational corporations and tax optimization, a phenomenon known as 'leprechaun economics'. Excluding Ireland, the eurozone economy would have seen modest growth of about 0.2%. However, weak prospects remain due to geopolitical tensions, energy shocks, and the risk of stagnation in upcoming quarters.
