Romania's men's volleyball team advanced to the EuroVolley 2026 quarter-finals by defeating Ukraine 3-0. This marks their second consecutive appearance in the top eight of the tournament. Despite being ranked 25th globally, Romania triumphed over the 10th-ranked Ukraine in just over an hour. Their next challenge is against Olympic champions France, who previously eliminated them in the quarter-finals last year. Other teams advancing include Poland, Germany, and Finland, with matches scheduled in Sofia and Torino. EuroVolley 2026 is co-hosted by Bulgaria, Finland, Italy, and Romania, running from September 9 to 26.
