Echipa de robotică a Republicii Moldova a câștigat o medalie de aur și două de argint la FIRST Global Challenge 2026 - StartupCafe

The FIRST Global robotics team from Moldova won gold and two silver medals at the 2026 FIRST Global Challenge in Incheon, South Korea. The team, ENIGMA, comprised students from a rural school and was mentored by local educators. Their innovative project, Ember Mesh, is designed to detect forest fires using autonomous sensor capsules. Moldova's success in robotics is attributed to over a decade of investment in educational robotics, with the national program expanding significantly since its inception in 2014. This latest achievement brings Moldova's total gold medal count in FIRST Global competitions to nine.
