E oficial - România a intrat în stagflaţie (analiză FRAMES) - Economica.net
Romania has officially entered stagflation, marked by stagnant economic activity and persistent inflation affecting consumption and competitiveness. An analysis indicates that rising energy prices may prolong this economic freeze until mid-2027. Despite these challenges, the business environment shows resilience. The GDP for Q2 2026 was reported at 494.4 billion lei, nominally up 10.8% from the previous year, but down 0.4% in real terms. Key sectors like retail and industry have seen significant declines, while construction and agriculture showed modest growth. The analysis highlights a severe contraction in private consumption, the worst in a decade, and warns that without attracting European funds, economic recovery may falter further.
