US Ballistic has signed a lease for the Sadu II platform in Romania to establish a modern ammunition production facility. This investment, amounting to tens of millions of dollars, aims to produce NATO-standard 155 mm ammunition and create hundreds of jobs in the Gorj region. The contract, signed on September 15, 2026, will generate approximately 1.3 million euros in annual rent for the Romanian state, along with significant investments in infrastructure and technology. The facility will remain state-owned, and the government emphasizes the importance of Romania becoming a producer of military equipment rather than just a consumer.
