The 26-kilometer stretch is over 90% complete, with final asphalt layers laid on 20 kilometers. The contractor is focusing on finishing touches near Suplacu de Barcău and the 1.8-kilometer viaduct. The project has faced numerous challenges, including contract cancellations and delays. The contract, valued at 884 million lei, is managed by Construcții Erbașu SA, with funding from the Transport Program. This opening will fulfill a long-standing promise and improve regional connectivity.
