The number of international transfers reached over 12,500, marking a new record for mid-year transfers. High-profile transfers included Rodri from Manchester City to Barcelona and Bradley Barcola from PSG to Liverpool. Women's football also saw a significant increase, with international transfer spending doubling compared to 2025, totaling $28.6 million. English clubs led the spending in both men's and women's transfer markets, while Romania recorded over 300 international transfers, spending $9.45 million and earning $23.5 million.
