Ankarst Development SRL has submitted an application to the Brașov County Environmental Protection Agency for a new integrated environmental authorization for lime production. The factory plans to operate one existing kiln with a capacity of 250 tons per day, while three other non-functional kilns will not be reinstated due to high repair costs. The company promises to implement new filters and monitor emissions and noise levels. They assert that their operations have complied with environmental regulations since 1990, with no historical pollution reported.
