This decision follows a rare meeting between Russian and German foreign ministers, where discussions about Ukraine took place. The Russian government has intensified control over foreign-owned assets since the start of the Ukraine conflict, with similar actions taken against other companies like Auchan and Nestlé. Metro's Russian branch stated it continues to operate normally despite the decree.
