After a two-year hiatus, construction at the Șelimbăr Stadium has resumed with a new contractor, aiming for completion by the end of the year. The previous contractor delayed progress due to payment issues and project modifications. The new firm, MBX Business Construct, is working on administrative buildings, locker rooms, and the installation of synthetic turf. Currently, about 50% of the work is done. The club CSC 1599 Șelimbăr will temporarily play at the Municipal Stadium in Sibiu due to the poor condition of their previous field. This move incurs additional costs, but it is seen as beneficial for the team's performance. The team hopes to return to their new home in the spring.
