Dunărea, trecută la pas la Calafat din cauza secetei

The water level of the Danube has significantly decreased, narrowing the navigable width between Romania and Bulgaria to about 140 meters. This situation, caused by prolonged drought, is affecting navigation and irrigation systems. Hydrologists warn that the river's flow may drop below historical minimums, impacting agricultural crops and fishing activities. Additionally, the Olt River has changed its course, leading to erosion and stranding boats. A controlled explosion was conducted to improve the Danube's flow towards the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant, involving over 100 military personnel.
