Dunărea, la doar 3 centimetri de limita operațională la Cernavodă. Apele Române suplimentează debitul

Romania's National Administration "Apele Române" is increasing the water discharge from the Iezer reservoir by 20 cubic meters per second from October 10 to 18, due to low Danube levels affecting the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant's cooling water supply. Both reactors are currently offline, with no clear restart date provided. The Danube's inflow is below 1,200 cubic meters per second, and the water level at Cernavodă is just 3 centimeters above the operational limit for cooling water pumping. This temporary measure aims to ensure safe operation of the nuclear facility and involves coordinated water releases from other reservoirs to support the Danube's water levels.
