Dunărea continuă să scadă. Repornirea reactoarelor de la Cernavodă se îndepărtează
The Danube's flow into Romania is expected to remain extremely low, dropping to 1,250 cubic meters per second, complicating the restart of Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant's reactors. The flow at Baziaș will stabilize initially at 1,350 mc/s before decreasing, significantly below the October average of 3,900 mc/s. This situation poses challenges for the plant's cooling systems, as authorities await sufficient water levels for safe operation. The ongoing drought has already led to historic low levels, impacting energy production and increasing reliance on imports. Additionally, low water levels hinder navigation and transport on the Danube, raising transportation costs for various goods.
