Drumul județean Timișoara – Buziaș – Lugoj va fi lărgit la 4 benzi

The Timiș County Council has decided to expand the road between Timișoara and Lugoj to four lanes, responding to increased traffic and industrial development. This change replaces the initial plan to widen only part of the route. President Alfred Simonis highlighted the need for this investment due to heavy traffic, especially on the section to Buziaș. The project will be divided into three lots, with plans for bypasses around localities to minimize traffic disruption. The council aims to secure European funding for this significant project, citing previous successful infrastructure improvements.
