Danish company BlueShadow has developed the BlueDragon system to intercept Russian drones before they reach ports on the Danube and Black Sea. This technology is of interest to Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey, with negotiations already underway. The system aims to protect Ukrainian coastal ports and create a maritime barrier against drone attacks. BlueDragon is designed to engage threats using autonomous maritime platforms equipped with sensors and interceptors. The company plans to implement this system in Ukraine by spring 2027, with certification expected by late 2026. BlueShadow is also exploring interest from other countries, including those in the Persian Gulf.
