On Monday evening, the Romanian Ministry of Defense detected aerial targets near Romania's border during a drone attack on Ukraine. Residents in northern Tulcea County received a RO-Alert message, and Romanian and Italian fighter jets were deployed for monitoring. The radar system identified the targets around 18:50, linked to the drone attack on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine. The National Military Command Center alerted emergency services, and the RO-Alert was sent at 19:06. Two Italian Eurofighter Typhoons took off at 19:09, followed by two Romanian F-16s at 20:13. The Ministry confirmed no unauthorized airspace breaches occurred, and the alert status ended at 22:25, with ongoing monitoring of the situation.
