Dronă proiectată de elevi pentru siguranța pe litoral, în campania "100 de tineri pentru dezvoltarea României"
A group of students from Bucharest has developed AIDRONe, an AI-based drone designed to enhance beach safety by detecting individuals in distress. This innovation aims to address the alarming drowning statistics in Romania, where the country leads the EU in drowning deaths. The team, Quantum Bits, has been recognized in the national campaign '100 Young People for Romania's Development' and won first place at the FIRST LEGO League competition. Their project promises to significantly reduce response times for lifeguards, potentially saving lives. Additionally, they created Stratum, a digital application for archaeologists to streamline data collection on excavation sites.
