Drona Bayraktar TB3, la vânătoare de submarine în Marea Neagră. România a cumpărat varianta anterioară TB2 • Newsweek România

The Bayraktar TB3 drone has been tested for anti-submarine warfare capabilities, utilizing a new SAS POD system. This development could be significant for Ukraine, which has limited anti-submarine resources. The drone successfully deployed sonar buoys during Turkish naval exercises, processing data to detect underwater threats. While it enhances surveillance and detection, the TB3 currently lacks the armament to neutralize identified targets, necessitating support from other platforms. Romania has previously acquired the earlier TB2 variant, and the evolving capabilities of Baykar drones may attract interest from Ukraine amid ongoing maritime tensions with Russia.
