Dragoș Pîslaru spune că a negociat „o reducere de zece ori a penalității” cu Comisia Europeană, după scandalul legii decarbonizării

The negotiation on Milestone 119a with the European Commission led to a significant reduction in penalties related to coal phase-out in Romania's energy sector. Minister Dragoș Pîslaru highlighted that 25% of the milestone has already been achieved, which contributed to a tenfold decrease in penalties. He expressed concerns that recent parliamentary amendments on decarbonization could hinder the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and result in the loss of substantial EU funds. The amendments restrict the closure of coal plants until new energy capacities are operational, raising fears of reversibility in the decarbonization process.
