Dragoș Pîslaru: România va avea absorbție record de 14 miliarde de euro din PNRR și coeziune, în 2026 / MIPE propune schimbare de paradigmă pentru investițiile din perioada 2028-2034
Romania has received 8.03 billion euros from cohesion funds under the Bolojan government, with an absorption rate of 31.56%. The interim minister estimates over 14 billion euros in 2026 from cohesion funds and PNRR, contingent on reforms and timely documentation. As of June 2025, Romania had absorbed 3.8 billion euros, increasing to 11.31 billion euros now. The government aims to exceed its 5.28 billion euro target for this year, with two payment requests pending. Risks remain regarding 900 million euros in grants due to unfulfilled reforms. The minister emphasizes the need for institutional mobilization to secure funds by December, while also planning for future investments from 2028 to 2034.
