DP World lansează un coridor feroviar pentru transportul de automobile între Belgia și România
DP World has launched a new intermodal corridor for transporting finished vehicles between Western and Southeast Europe, starting with a pilot operation from Zeebrugge to Aiud. This initiative aims to establish Aiud as a regional distribution hub for automobiles, with plans for regular services by 2026. The project combines rail and road transport to reduce reliance on long-distance trucking, addressing the automotive industry's demand for more sustainable logistics solutions. The new corridor could cut CO₂ emissions by up to 55% compared to traditional road transport.
