DP World investește 100 de milioane de euro în electrificarea terminalului din Constanța
The project "Electrification of the DP World Terminal – Constanța, Romania" aims to enhance port operations with reduced emissions, supported by EU funding. The total investment exceeds 100 million euros, with the first phase co-financed by the EU through the CEF mechanism. The initiative focuses on replacing fossil fuel equipment with electric alternatives and implementing an Onshore Power Supply system. Key components include electrifying container blocks, developing a charging hub for electric tractors, and installing systems for ships to receive renewable energy. This project aligns with EU decarbonization goals and aims to set new standards for port operations in the Black Sea region.
