Doza de aluminiu castiga teren in Romania: ponderea sa in ambalajele SGR a urcat la 29,3%

Official data from RetuRO, analyzed by Every Can Counts, shows a significant increase in aluminum packaging in Romania, driven by younger consumers. Since the launch of the Returnable Deposit System in late 2023, aluminum's share in beverage packaging rose from 21.6% in Q1 2024 to 29.3% in Q2 2026. This trend reflects a structural shift, with aluminum becoming the preferred material for brands focused on sustainability. The overall market sees a decline in plastic usage, while glass remains stable. Internationally, metal packaging continues to grow, supported by its portability and recyclability.
