Două treimi dintre tinerii europeni au trecut prin traume în copilărie, potrivit unui nou raport. Efectele se resimt ani mai târziu
A recent WHO report reveals that over two-thirds of young Europeans have faced adverse childhood experiences, increasing their risk of mental health issues later in life. More than 20% reported four or more such experiences, including domestic violence and parental loss. The report highlights the long-term social and economic consequences of these experiences, emphasizing the need for a multi-sectoral approach to address the issue. Young adults with multiple adverse experiences reported higher rates of physical discomfort and a greater need for mental health support, yet many did not receive it. The authors stress the importance of prevention and early intervention to break the cycle of adversity across generations, while also noting that positive outcomes are possible with the right support.
