Două șosele din România, în top 10 al celor mai spectaculoase drumuri din Europa
Romania ranks two consecutive positions in a list of the most winding and spectacular European roads, with Transalpina in fifth and Transfagarasan in sixth place. The ranking, created by Euronews Travel based on a study by Avis, evaluates roads on length, altitude, and curves, as well as online popularity. Transalpina, the longest of the top five at 148 kilometers, reaches an altitude of 2,145 meters and has 682 curves. It is associated with around 89,400 Instagram hashtags and an average of 60,500 Google searches monthly. The study highlights the growing interest in scenic routes, with global searches for 'scenic routes' increasing by 170% in the past year, promoting the Carpathians as a European driving destination.
