The Timișoara City Hall has launched a tender for transforming Calea Șagului into a mobility corridor, attracting two bids. The project, costing 158.3 million lei, aims to improve public transport and traffic flow over a 2.5 km stretch. It includes the reconstruction of sidewalks, expansion of green spaces, and the establishment of bike lanes. The project is part of the 'Green Corridor' initiative, funded by the European Regional Development Program, with a completion deadline of March 2029. Mayor Dominic Fritz expressed satisfaction with the interest shown by companies in this strategic project, which will enhance urban regeneration in the area.
