Două nave s-au scufundat lângă Strâmtoarea Ormuz, după atacuri cu proiectile. Iranul intensifică presiunea în regiune
Two commercial vessels sank near the Strait of Hormuz after being hit by projectiles in separate incidents. The container ship GFS Pride, registered in Singapore, was attacked while crossing the strait, leading to a fire and subsequent sinking. All crew members were safely evacuated. In a separate incident, the bulk carrier Cape Dao sank after being struck on September 23, resulting in one crew member's death. These incidents mark the second and third vessels sunk since the onset of the US-Iran conflict in February 2026. Attacks on commercial ships in the region have increased recently, with Iran reportedly adopting new tactics to influence oil prices and US midterm elections. The maritime risk management firm MARISKS warns that the danger to commercial shipping is expanding beyond the oil sector.
