Romania achieved two gold medals at the European Para Judo Championships in Heidelberg, with Gabriela-Cristina Dumitrescu and Alex Bologa excelling in their categories. Dumitrescu made history as the first Romanian female judoka to win a medal in Para Judo, while Bologa secured his sixth consecutive European title. Dumitrescu dominated her category with four victories, including a notable win against Turkish competitor Duygu Cete Artar. Bologa showcased his skills by winning all his matches, culminating in a tight final against Giorgi Gamjashvili. Both athletes expressed their joy and determination for future competitions, highlighting the significance of their achievements for Romanian Para Judo.
