Two iconic guitars belonging to Johnny Marr were sold for over €654,000 at a London auction. The Rickenbacker 330 Jetglo, used in The Smiths' early recordings, fetched €416,000, while the Gibson ES-355 Cherry sold for €238,000. The auction featured around 80 of Marr's guitars and memorabilia, as he decided to part with his collection while writing his book 'Marr's Guitars'. Marr, co-founder of The Smiths, has had a significant impact on independent rock music.
