Dosarul șefului USR Dâmbovița. Alexandru Munteanu ar fi recunoscut că știa de exportul interzis: noi informații din anchetă - SURSE

New details emerge regarding the USR Dâmbovița leader's attempt to sell machinery to a Belarusian firm, which could be used for weapon manufacturing. Alexandru Munteanu admitted to investigators that he was aware the equipment was destined for Belarus and that its export was prohibited. To disguise the transaction, he and his associate used shell companies. Munteanu believed the export restrictions might change, prompting him to continue production. He later proposed using an Indian company to facilitate the sale. The machinery, valued at approximately 1.75 million euros, was linked to military applications. Eight suspects were interrogated in connection with this case, which involved multiple countries, including Germany and Kazakhstan.
