The hearing for this request is set for September 23, 2026, delaying the case further. In the previous session, the defense sought a new expert report on Kreiner's death, arguing the time frame for the alleged asphyxiation was inconsistent with the defendants' actions. The court rejected this request, leading to further claims of bias against the current judges. Kreiner was killed in November 2023 during a violent robbery in his home.
