The Alba Iulia Court of Appeal has extended the preventive arrest of three defendants accused of murdering businessman Adrian Kreiner. The trial has been paused for two months due to a request for case relocation. The defendants were presented in court, where their arrest was extended for another 30 days. In the first instance, one defendant received a 30-year sentence, while the others were sentenced to life imprisonment. Kreiner was killed in November 2023 during a violent robbery at his home, with his partner hiding during the attack. She is also under preventive arrest for complicity in another crime.
