Despite receiving a preemptive pardon from Joe Biden in January 2025, Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment over 100 times during a Senate hearing on the pandemic. The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee later voted to hold Fauci in contempt of Congress for refusing to answer questions.
