Dosar ANC: Flagrant de 7.500 € pentru cetățenie
Two women have been detained for 24 hours in a corruption case involving the illegal facilitation of Romanian citizenship. One was caught receiving €7,500 for simplifying citizenship procedures. They allegedly created false documents to support claims of Romanian ancestry for clients. The investigation revealed that the first suspect, holding dual citizenship, convinced a Tunisian citizen to pay for citizenship despite no familial ties to Romania. The second suspect joined the scheme later, demanding €7,500 to expedite the citizenship application process. Both women guided clients through the National Citizenship Authority, manipulating the system to benefit multiple individuals.
