DoorDash has launched DoorDash Air, developing its own delivery drones after receiving FAA certification for commercial drone services in the U.S. The company aims to integrate drones with human couriers and autonomous robots into a unified delivery network. Initial operations will involve short-distance tests with drones kept within the operator's visual range, while partnerships with Wing and Flytrex continue. DoorDash's new division, DoorDash Labs, also created the Dot delivery robot, already in use in several U.S. suburbs.
