Donald Trump își anunță sprijinul pentru Benjamin Netanyahu, cu nouă zile înaintea alegerilor din Israel

Donald Trump has publicly endorsed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for re-election ahead of the October 27 elections, marking a significant shift after months of silence. Trump praised Netanyahu as a strong wartime leader and a key ally against Iran. This endorsement comes just days before Israel's elections, which are the first since the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023. Netanyahu faces a challenging race against Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar party and the 'Together' alliance led by former prime ministers Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid. Recent polls show Yashar slightly ahead of Likud, and Netanyahu is also dealing with a corruption trial, which Trump previously sought to intervene in.
