Corneliu Costinescu, former vice president of the Romanian Football Federation, passed away on his 91st birthday, marking a significant loss for Romanian football. He had a long career in football, both as a coach and administrator, contributing to the sport for over fifty years. Costinescu led Știința Bacău to success in the 1960s and later managed Sport Club Bacău, where he achieved notable accomplishments. His influence extended to regional and national football administration, serving as president of the Bacău Football Association and as a member of the FRF Executive Committee. The Romanian Football Federation expressed deep sorrow and condolences to his family and friends.
