Poptean was a key member of the Oaș Ensemble and later became a professional soloist, recording numerous albums and preserving local folklore. She founded the Măgura folk group and the Rapsodia Oașului Cultural Association. Her legacy includes her music and efforts to maintain traditional customs. Her passing is mourned by many, but her songs and contributions will endure.
